The Poe Twisted Anthology

For the last few months I've been working on this project for Red Stylo Media, The POE TWISTED Anthology! It is a collection of comics and art works inspired by Edgar Allan Poe. Here is a link to their website which will have more info...

http://redstylo.com/poe-twisted-anthology

I have one story where I wrote and illustrated titled the Tell Tale Cat (Edgar Allen Poe-lice to some...)

The Tell Tale Cat is based on The Black Cat, The Masque of the Red Death, and The Tell-Tale Heart. It tells the story of officers Lansdowne and Harrington, following them around as they have to deal with the characters from the before mentioned stories. You may remember The Black Cat and The Tell-Tale Heart both featured the police at the end of the story, well this is their version of what happened. This sweet baby will be put out on digital release August 24th and regular release sometime afterwords!

The other story I worked on was Eldorado, written by Sherezada Windham-Kent, illustrated by me!

This western/zombie epic follows the mysterious rider on his search for Eldorado. Sherezada Windham-Kent is a writer and filmmaker who directed Everything I Needed to Know About Zombies I Learned From the Movies. This baby will be released August 14th.

I should also mention that with the digital releases they will come with special features including some original sketches, alternate covers, and an introduction by yours truly, among other such things.

I should also also mention that I'm also doing the coloring for another story in the series titled Absolution, written by Jason Ciaramella and illustrated by Enrique 'Zeke' Savory, Jr. Jason Ciaramella is the 2011 Eisner Award nominated writer of The Cape
from IDW, I highly recommend it! But more on this later.

So to get the full anthology (also featuring work from my buddies Mark Mullaney, who you know from Cormack Cook Colossal Cinema Collection fame, and Andrew Jerz, who you know from your restraining order) the printed copy will come out August 21 and the digital release will be August 31! Here is the cover for the anthology illustrated by Master Jerz (the middle circle is a shot from Eldorado).

More to come...

Fish Stick Guy Cover

My buddy Steve Grzesik created the comic Fish Stick Guy, which I did the cover for (and some pinup art inside) and he will be selling issue #1 at Boston Comic Con this weekend (April 30th and May 1st). You can also pick up a copy up at Larry's Wonderful World of Comics. Larry's I should mention, put the whole project together along with buddies from their weekly drink and draw (more info here).

The cover itself is a parody of the famous Iron Man cover "Demon in a Bottle!"

This issue is instead titled "Demon in a Frialator!"

I will be at Boston Comic Con helping to promote the comic and I hope to see you there!

Here are the pin ups...

Fish Stick Guy knocking out the Gorton's Fisherman (this one was originally a parody of the cover of Captain America #1 where he is knocking out Hitler).
